Hello everyone! Don't worry, we're still here.
We are working hard at a few web applications that should be ready to show in the next few months. Keep checking back here for news related to the big projects we are working on.
There has also been some talk here at Deselop about maybe working on some small projects to help with the open source community. Projects such as skins for blogging platforms, jQuery plugins, and short reusable snippets of useful code. More on this as our discussions progress. Check back often, or subscribe to our feed!
Deselop now has a RSS feed! Feel free to subscribe to it by clicking below to add the feed to your rss reader of choice:
Thanks to everyone who requested the feed and pushed us to launch it!
Speaking of feeding, we've noticed there is a clear inverse relationship between productivity and eating craptastic food. So, for our waistlines' sake, send us your suggestions on how we can improve our site. We wouldn't mind losing a few pounds.
So here we are, the site is humming, the coffee's percolating, and our fingers are itching with news to share about how we're going to change the world.
"Wait. Who the heck are you guys?"
Oh right, we haven't really introduced ourselves, have we? We're Deselop, a small group of guys who still think the web is the coolest thing, well, ever. We've got big ideas, and we're looking forward to building stuff that makes the web a better place to live and work for everyone.
The ways we interact on the web have evolved amazingly quickly in a short period of time. In the past few years, we've seen tremendous achievements made in web application development and online communities. We've twittered, we've facebooked, we've muxtaped, we've flickr'ed. We're entering a new age where users are shaping their own experiences while we the designers and developers provide the building blocks.
We understand that in this world, developers aren't just programmers. And designers aren't just artists. As web professionals, we have to think holistically about the experiences that we're creating. Our name derives from our core belief - you can't be a developer without a bit of designer in you, and vice versa.
So does that answer your question?
"Yeah. More than I wanted, actually. So what are you so excited about anyways?"
Although we can't tell you all the details about our latest project yet, we can guarantee it'll make you look at the web in a whole new light - and hey, it might even change your mind about us. Stay tuned, there's a lot of work to do.
The website has landed! We're looking forward to getting out there and building a community of web do-gooders. Stay tuned for an official news post regarding who we are and what Deselop is all about within the next few days.
